Hi, I’m Dr Ayeshah

Training & Background

I qualified in Medicine from Keele University in 2012 and went on to complete my ENT training in leading centres across London, Oxford and the Thames Valley. In 2023, I completed the Oxford otology fellowship, where I gained further expertise in complex cases. My NHS practice is at Oxford University Hospitals - mainly at John Radcliffe, Oxford and Horton Hospital, Banbury.

My practice covers the full range of general ENT in adults and children, with particular expertise in ear and hearing problems, dizziness and balance disorders, sinus and nasal disease, snoring, hoarseness and swallowing difficulties. I run the specialised balance and voice clinics at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford providing detailed assessment and tailored management for my patients with complex dizziness or voice change.

My style is calm, direct and patient-focused. I take time to listen, explains investigations and treatment options clearly and work with patients to agree a realistic plan, whether that involves watchful waiting, medication, procedures in clinic, or surgery.

Research & Teaching

I am a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Oxford and I am actively involved in research and quality improvement in ENT. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, including a comprehensive internationally used text book and book chapters. My work has been presented both at national and international meetings. I have received awards recognising my academic and clinical contributions.

I was the clinical lead for ENT at the John Radcliffe Hospital, where I led and contributed to multiple clinical audits and service-improvement projects in ENT, which I view as an important way of improving care for patients beyond my own clinics and operating lists.

My academic and teaching roles reflect a strong commitment to evidence-based, up-to-date care for my patients.
